It is mandatory that the students in the college must participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities and earn credits. The students who aspire to join NCC Army, NCC Navy, Sports, Kalavaibhava, Drama, Yakshagana, NSS, Rovers and Rangers need to apply well in advance and attend a selection process. For the others, Value Added Courses seats are allotted by the college. The students will complete two Value Added Courses along with their undergraduate programme according to the curriculum in the first two years
