SDM PUC offers Statistics as an optional subject in the PU programme. Statistics is one of the best choices among the optional subjects by the students. The department supports students to participate in curricular activities and organizes several activities to promote self-learning. The department also conducts technology enabled classes which encourage students to participate in seminars and presentations
The Department association, ’Sankhya’ is a forum, which gives a platform to students to participate in co-curricular activities relevant to the subject.The major activities of the association include guest lectures, alumni interactions, career guidance, workshops, quiz, cross word puzzles, field surveys, wall magazine and Sudoku competitions.
