Department of English envisions nurturing of language skills among the young learners and developing professional approaches in its usage. Alongside preparing the students for the board examinations, the department provides them ample opportunities to explore their linguistic, literary and communicative skills through the student association initiatives. Learner centered activities are conducted with an annual plan defining the learning outcomes. As a result, the students not only perform well in the examinations but are also able to extrapolate the academic learnings in real life situations. We mentor the students and fine-tune their inner strengths and talents.Our activities in association with the other departments of the college provide the students a wonderful experience of interdisciplinary approach. The department also conducts technology enabled classes which encourages the Students to participate in seminars and presentations.
The English Literary Association – Script-It, promotes literary skills by publishing periodical wall magazines and articles in the college magazine – Prerana. The association provides opportunities for debates, quiz, public speaking, story narration, poetry writing and interpersonal development. They are given various positions of the association to develop the leadership qualities. The department leaves no stone unturned in developing the holistic personality of the students.
