Dharmaadhikari of Dharmasthala, Social Reformer, Educationist, Philosopher and Philanthropist, Dr. D Veerendra Heggade is a multidimensional personality. In recognition of his services to the nation, he has been awarded the second highest civilian award of the country, Padma Vibhushana by the President of India. He is also the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from 2022.

Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Industrial Training Institute was Established in 1986 at Venur, aback ward rural area, with a Historic background of Bhagavan Shree Bahubali’s monolithic Statue. The Institute is promoted by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society[R], ujire, a much-admired non-profit Institution that runs over 40 recognized educational institutions in Karnataka State including Engineering and Medical colleges.
