The science exhibition cum competition was held in SDM Residential PU College Ujire on 30 Sep 2019 under the Science club at Physics lab. Dr.T.Krishnamurthy Principal inaugurated and Mrs. Dhanalaxmi coordinated the exhibition. Various science models were exhibited by the students and showcased.
Taluk Table Tennis Tournament was held on 26 August 2019 at Indraprastha stadium Ujire. SDM Residential PU College team were the overall winners, as well as runners up in the shuttle badminton tournament held on the same occasion.
The teachers training program was held at SDM Residential PU college on 24 Aug 2019 at the sports room. Mr. Sudhakar Karkala was the resource person, who is a certified national level trainer. He trained all the faculty of the college regarding making students active listeners.
Department of Biology organised a guest talk on Auriculotherapy in Acupuncture on 22 Aug 2019 at Sports room. Mr. Abhijith Badiger, Lecturer in Biotechnology from SDM College Ujire was the guest. He talked about relieving pain through acupuncture in various parts of the body. Dr. T. Krishnamurthy Principal and Mrs. Vani M.A were present on the occasion.
The Goodwill Day was observed on 20th of August at SDM Residential PU College Ujire. The Sanskrit faculty of the college Mr. Mahesh addressed the students and explained the importance of general goodwill in everyday life. The Goodwill Oath was administered to students at the occasion.
A health orientation program was held at SDM Residential PU College on the 16th of August. Student Welfare Officer of SDM College Ujire, Somshekar advised the students to stay away from health deteriorating habits and substance abuse. The students also took an oath that they shall put in efforts to remain healthy all their lives.
SDM Residential PU College grabbed the Winners trophy at PU level taluk Football tournament held on 17 Aug 2019 at Anugraha PU College Ujire. All the players were trained under Mr.Laxman G.D PT SDM Residential PU College Ujire.
In occasion of Independence Day, a guest talk was organized at SDM Residential PU College for the students of Sanskrit on 16th of August. The Coordinator of Samskrutha Bharati Mangalore wing was the chief guest of the event. He stated that Sanskrit is a scientific language which forms the foundation for all other languages. It must be taught and written in the original language and style itself. The Hindi faculty of the college, Sunil Pandit also emphasized on the role of Sanskrit in building other languages. Faculty and students of the college were present.
73rd Independence day was celebrated at SDM Residential PU College Ujire on 15 Aug 2019. Mr.R.K Bhat, Lecturer in Physics and CET trainer hoisted the flag along with Dr.T.Krishnamurthy, Principal and Mr. Manish Kumar, Vice Principal who were present on the occasion. All the students and faculty were present.
SDM College Ujire and District Literary Association of Dakshina Kannada jointly organized a book fair at the auditorium of SDM College Ujire on the 8th, 9th and 10th of August. Books were sold at reasonable prices at the fair where students and faculty members were seen making a number of purchases. Some students also brightened the occasion with songs.
Dr. Shashiprabha, Assistant Professor of SDM PG College Ujire inaugurated the Science Club at SDM Residential PU College on 2 July 2019. She spoke on how Chemistry plays a major role in everyday life. She also gave information about how to get patent for the individual invention from the particular authoritative source. She felicitated the students who participated in various competitions held on account of Vana Mahotsava Mrs. Chaithra prabhu welcomed the guest and Dr.T. Krishnamurthy. Mrs. Dhanalaxmi were present on the stage.
