A four-day machine embroidery training workshop was inaugurated at SDM Women’s ITI College, Ujire on 21st April 2026 Resource Person, SDM Venur ITI Junior Training Officer Nagesh Shet inaugurated the workshop. Later, addressing the students, he said that machine embroidery is the art of stitching beautiful designs on cloth. It is faster, more precise and does not repeat the same designs than hand embroidery. It is helpful to automatically stitch designs through the machine and easily make the same design on many clothes. This saves time and effort.
He said that the opportunity to use computer design (digital files) is available. By learning this, one can earn income by taking up small jobs like chudidar, sari, dupatta decoration, school uniform logo, towel, cover, cushion design, gift item preparation etc.
