Membership categories

Membership is issued at the circulation desk on submission of a valid college ID. Faculty and PG scholars may request extended loan periods for active research.

General rules

Silence is maintained throughout the reading hall. Mobile phones should be switched to silent mode. Food and beverages are not permitted near the stacks or reading tables.

Rare manuscripts and bound journal volumes are for reference use within the library only and do not circulate. Photocopying of fragile material is restricted to protect the originals — ask the librarian about digital scan requests instead.

A fine of ₹2 per day applies to overdue books. Lost or damaged items are replaced at current market price plus a processing fee.
