A reading room built for Ayurvedic scholarship
Since the college's founding, the library has grown alongside its curriculum — from a modest reference shelf to a full collection spanning classical Sanskrit texts, clinical literature, and modern research.
What we hold
The collection is organised around the way Ayurveda is studied and practised: foundational samhitas and their commentaries, Dravyaguna references for single-herb pharmacology, clinical case literature across Kayachikitsa and Panchakarma, and a growing body of peer-reviewed research produced both within the college and across the wider Ayurveda research community.
A dedicated reading room holds rare and early-printed editions, available for supervised reference use — not for lending — to preserve them for future readers.
Who it serves
Enrolled BAMS and MD (Ayurveda) students, teaching and clinical faculty, and visiting researchers with prior written permission from the Chief Librarian. Alumni may apply for reference-only access.
Reader services include circulation, reference assistance, literature search support for dissertations, and inter-library loan requests routed through partner Ayurveda institutions.
