The Kindergarten students of SDM English Medium School marked a significant milestone in their academic journey with the ‘My Next Step’ program held on 28 March 2025. The event celebrated the transition of UKG students as they prepared to step into their next level of schooling.The young learners from UKG A and B enthusiastically participated in various engaging activities, including Seed germination, Community Helpers, Do Your Duty, and Theme Dance, showcasing their understanding and creativity. The special highlight of the event was a kite illustration by Sanidhya Maiyya, demonstrating artistic talent and imagination.Students Akshara Parvathi and Aaradhana Kulal shared their reflections on their Kindergarten journey, reminiscing about their experiences and growth.

Parental Blessings and Felicitation
As a part of the ceremony, the little graduates sought the blessings of their parents in a heartfelt ‘Matru-Pitru Vandana’ ritual. They lit lamps and received the good wishes of their parents before taking their first step into primary school.

During the formal gathering, Principal Manmohan Naik extended his best wishes to the young students for their future endeavors. The event witnessed the presence of Kindergarten teachers and supporting staff, who played a pivotal role in shaping the young minds early education.Parents, including Ms. Savitha, Ms.Jayashree, Mr. Satish Achar, Ms. Mamatha K, and Ms. Radhika, expressed their thoughts and gratitude, appreciating the school’s efforts in nurturing their children.The program also featured student-led contributions: Aaradhana Kulal, Rashmika Ramesh, Pradhya Pradeep, Akshara Parvathi, Sanidhya Maiyya, and Aadya Holla led the prayers. Saharsh S. delivered the welcome address, while Mohammad Bishrul Hafee proposed the vote of thanks, marking a graceful conclusion to the memorable event.
