The school conducts assessment of learning of students as per the CBSE guidelines and the curriculum issued at the beginning of every academic year.
I. Assessment for class I to V
The assessment of students of class I to V is based on term-wise system. There are two terms in a year; promotion to the next Grade is based on their performance in both the terms. Each term has two components – internal assessments and term exam. The internal assessment consists of Periodic Tests, Subject/Language Enrichment Activities, and Notebook. Assessment is done both on scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
II. Assessment for class VI – X
The assessment structure and examination for Classes VI to X is based on the Annual Scheme as per the CBSE norms. According to it the Assessment consists of 20 marks for internal and 80 marks for annual written examination. Internal assessment of 20 marks is obtained from 4 areas of learning: Three Periodic tests (5 marks originally conducted for 25 marks, reduced to five marks), Multiple Assessments (5 marks), Subject Enrichment Activities (5 marks) and Portfolio (5 marks). The School also assesses the students in co-scholastic areas like art and crafts, sports and work education.
