
On October 26, the S.D.M Educational Society (R) hosted a comprehensive workshop aimed at empowering teaching faculty at the seminar Hall of Rathnathreya S.D.M P.U College. The event, which took place from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, was attended by all principals and around 250 teachers from various S.D.M schools.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Satheeshchandra S., Secretary of the S.D.M Educational Society. In his opening remarks, Dr. Satheeshchandra underscored Dr. Veerendra Heggade’s vision of providing quality education and instilling strong values across all S.D.M institutions. He stressed the importance of empowering teachers as a means to empower students, thereby improving the overall educational experience.
The workshop included three informative sessions:
- Child Rights, Teacher Responsibility, and Legal Aspects: This session, led by Smt. Bolvar Kasthuri, explored essential topics related to child rights and the legal obligations of educators.
- Building a Better Me: Conducted by Ms. Ramya K. Thomas from the S.D.M Psychology Department, this session centered on personal growth and well-being, encouraging teachers to improve their own lives to better support their students.
- Learning by Doing: Facilitated by Mr. Devdas Nayak and Ms. Rajeshwari, this session focused on practical learning experiences and innovative teaching strategies.
Through these workshops, the S.D.M Educational Society aimed to empower its teaching faculty with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to deliver effective and impactful education.
