On January 10: As a part of the “Veer Gatha” initiative organized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Ministry of Defense (MoD), a competition was conducted for students from grades 3 to 12.

The initiative aimed to inspire school students by sharing stories of valor and courage associated with the recipients of gallantry awards. It also sought to instill values of patriotism, bravery, and perseverance in young minds.

Out of hundreds of students selected across the country, Sathvik Bhat, a 10th-grade student of S.D.M. English Medium School, was chosen for his outstanding performance in the drawing competition. He participated in the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi on January 26 and honoured by the Defense Minister.

Sathvik’s achievement was warmly congratulated by the management, Dr. Satishchandra S., Secretary of the S.D.M. Educational Society, Mr. Manmohan Naik K.G., the Principal, and the school’s faculty.
