On August 5, 2024, S.D.M. Kindergarten in Ujire organized the “All About Me” festival, a dynamic and educational gathering aimed at promoting self-awareness and creativity among its young participants. The festival included a variety of activities that engaged students in enjoyable and interactive ways.
Dance Performance:
The festivities commenced with a lively dance performance by the students. Each child showcased her/his enthusiasm and talent, creating a joyful atmosphere that set an energetic tone for the event.
Colouring Activity:
After the dance, students took part in a coloring activity where they filled in pictures based on their gender. This exercise encouraged the children to express their artistic abilities while also providing a simple, age-appropriate exploration of gender identity.
Parts of the body-Explanation:
In the following segment, students took turns identifying and explaining different parts of their bodies. Each child pointed out various body parts, such as hands, feet, eyes, and ears, while describing their functions. This interactive session enhanced their understanding of anatomy and body awareness.
Sensory Organs Activity:
The fest’s highlight was the sensory organs activity. Through engaging hands-on exercises, students explored their five senses—sight, auditory smell, taste, and touch. The activities included practical demonstrations that illustrated how their sensory organs function and their significance in everyday life.
