As part of the college’s Literary Club and Kannada Department activities, Kannada students visited the home of emerging poetess Aruna Srinivas, a resident of Ujire. During this “Kavi Samaya” (poetic hour), the students engaged in a meaningful dialogue with the poetess. Aruna Srinivas answered students’ questions about the Kannada language and creative writing. She also introduced them to the environment that inspires her poetry, including her home and garden. The visit was further enriched by the support of her husband, Srinivas Aripadittaya, and her mother-in-law, Nagarathna, who extended warm hospitality. Students were given the opportunity to procure copies of her published works, and she generously donated copies to the college library for the benefit of all students. The visit was attended by Biology lecturer Pradeep K. and Kannada lecturer Kavitha Umesh.
