“Language transcends all boundaries,” said Vignesh Aithal, assistant professor of the English department at SDM PG Centre, Ujire, on September 26. “First, we must have love and pride for our mother tongue.” He was speaking at a guest lecture organized by the English department at SDM Residential Pre-University College. Vignesh emphasized that students should be mindful of pronunciation while using language to avoid errors. College principal Sunil Pandit presided over the event. Bhavyashree, lecturer of the English department, compered and welcomed the guests.
