Exhibition of Books Three days book exhibition was conducted by library from 31 July to 2 August 2019 to create awareness among the students regarding books. Various books were showcased during the time.
A veteran orator Dr. Madhav Bhat, Professor SDM PG college Ujire inaugurated Literary club in SDM Residential College Ujire on 31 July 2019. He said that language should be used creatively and intensively. Language is a passage to carry science forward. Mr. Abhin anchored the program and Mr. Sunil Pandit welcomed the guests. Dr.T. Krishnamurthy Principal, Parshwanath Hegde Coordinator of literary club were present on the stage.
Dr. GP Hegde and Mr.Basavaraj Patil Department of ISE SDMIT Ujire conducted series of lectures on Internet of things to First and II year students of computer science on 29 July 2019 at SDM Residential PU College Ujire.

Mr. Achyuth Kamath Lecturer SDM College Ujire delivered a talk to mark the occasion Kargil Vijay Diwas in SDM Residential PU College Ujire on 26 July 2019. He cherished his experience about his visit to Kargil and talked about soldiers’ sacrifice for India. IIPU students performed a dance to show their respect to Nation and Jawans. Dr.T.Krishnamurthy Principal, Sunil Pandit, Manish Kumar were seen on the stage.
A career guidance program was held at the college on the 24th of July. Mrs.Kushalatha, Counsellor of Nitte education addressed the students of Residential College Ujire on the various opportunities and areas they can explore after pre-university. She also explained to them the means of accessing the opportunities and making the most of them.
The Inaugural Ceremony of the Students’ Council for the academic year2019-20 of SDM Residential PU College was held on Thursday 18 july 2019 at the prayer hall. Dr. Prashanth Shetty, Principal of SDM College of Naturopathy and yogic sciences was the Chief Guest. Dr.T.Krishnamurthy ,Principal presided over the function.Formal inauguration of the council was done by lighting the lamp. Dr.Prashanth Shetty in his inaugural address congratulated the students and said leadership should be developed from college level and should be a model to the society. Mr. Samarth Shetty, President of Students’ council proposed the vote of thanks.
Freshers day program was organised by the II PUC students for their freshly joined juniors of I PUC. Various cultural events were organised by the II years to entertain the I years. Mr. Manith of II Year hosted the event.
II PUC CET (2019-20) classes were inaugurated by Dr.T. Krishnamurthy, who wished the students a great success. Prof R.K Bhat, Dr. Rajiv Pandit and Prof. Ram were present at the occasion.
Orientation program for freshers was conducted on the 1st of June to make them aware about the rules and regulations of the college and make them feel at home within the new campus environment. Faculty members Sunil Pandit welcomed all the lecturers and students. Dr. Naganna D.A spoke on discipline that students have to follow in the college. Mr.Laxman G.D and Mr.Vishnumurthy were present at the occasion.
