Putting Value into Education

The Society was established to make education accessible and affordable to rural youth. Its head office at Ujire is the central unit for all management actions of the SDM institutions.

Every institution is recognised by its affiliating agency and the concerned government bodies. The aim is education that blends formal learning with spirituality, cultural orientation and social responsibility, so students grow into good professionals and good citizens.

President

Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, reformer, educationist, philosopher and philanthropist. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2015 for his service through education, health care and philanthropy.

Secretary of the Society since July 2022. A former Principal of SDM College, Ujire and Associate Professor of Physics, with 36 years in academics. He holds an M.Sc. from Mangalore University and a Ph.D. from Tumkur University, and won the Karnataka State Best NSS Programme Officer award for 1999-2000.
