Rules & Regulations
Please review the following guidelines to ensure a productive environment for all library users.
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed (Reading Hall open on demand during exams)
- Extended hours during examinations: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Extended hours during examinations)
- Maintain silence at all times within the reading hall and stack areas.
- Mobile phones must be kept on silent mode inside the library.
- Food and beverages are not permitted inside the reading areas.
- A valid college ID card is mandatory to enter and use library services.
- ID cards are non-transferable and must be produced on request.
- Handle books with care; do not fold pages, write, or highlight in library copies.
- Report any pre-existing damage to circulation staff before borrowing.
- Borrowing limits vary by membership category (see Membership page).
- Books may be renewed once, provided there is no pending reservation.
- Renewal can be requested at the circulation desk or via email.
- A nominal fine per day is applicable for books returned after the due date.
- Continued overdue status may result in suspension of borrowing privileges.
- Lost books must be reported immediately to the library staff.
- The borrower must replace the book with a fresh copy or pay its current cost plus a processing fee.
- Mobile calls are not permitted inside the library premises.
- Internet access on library computers is for academic and research purposes only.
- Subscribed e-resources are strictly for personal academic use — bulk downloading is prohibited.
- Sharing personal login credentials for remote-access resources is not permitted.
