Ahmedabad Gujarath&nbsp;was the resource person. This program was convened by Dr. Kumara Hegde B. A HOD of the Department of Botany and Coordinated by Mr. Ganesh V Shendye and Ms. Shakunthala B, Assistant Professors of the Department. 178 participants were present for this webinar event.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Dr. Harish C Rudrappa with his expertise in the field of Taxonomy and Pharmacognosy explained many medicinal plants with their identification&nbsp;using Name, Colour, Touch, Taste, Taxonomy, Anatomy, and Phytochemical&nbsp;evaluation. He compared many parameters to convey the identity of the plants keeping different categories of people like laymen, Non-botany professionals, and Professional Botanists. With self-explanatory slides, he was able to convince the objectives of the webinar i.e. identification and standardization of medicinal plants and raw drugs to the participants.
