NCC- Navy<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our college NCC Naval wing was established in the year 2001. Our NCC subunit comes under 5KAR Naval Unit NCC, Mangalore. It is a part of \u201cKarnataka and Goa\u201d NCC Directorate. Since establishment our unit has been enthusiastically undertaking many creative tasks covering all NCC activities such as conducting regular training parades, motivating cadets to join armed forces, organizing social service activities, conducting trekking, sending cadets to various national level camps like Republic Day Camp (RDC), All India Nau-Sainik Camp (AINSC) and International level events like Youth Exchange Program (YEP), Adventure expeditions and other training camps. Right from the birth of NCC Naval Unit in our college Lt. Dr.ShridharBhat, ANO No. 5 Karnataka Naval Unit NCC has been leading the cadets.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

NCC Army wing (Senior Division) of the college is a sub-unit of 18 KAR BN NCC, Mangalore under Mangalore Group of \u201cKarnataka and Goa\u201d NCC Directorate. At Present the unit is headed by Lt. Bhanuprakash B E with the authorized strength of the 52 Cadets. Every year cadets participate in various camps like Tala Sainik Camp (TSC), Republic Day Camps(RDC) Combined Annual Training Camp(ATC), Ek-Bharath Shreshta Bharath(EBSB) Camp, Basic Leadership Camp, Advance Leadership Camp, Army Attachment Camp, All India Trekking Camp, Rock Climbing Training Camps (RCTC).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Senior Wing started to function independently from the academic year 2017-18. At Present the unit is headed by Lt. Shubharani P S with the authorized strength of the 52 Cadets. The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian Government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. The scheme was launched in Gandhiji\u2019s Centenary year 1969 aiming at developing student\u2019s\u2019 personality through community service. NSS being a voluntary association of the College since 1972. Annual Special Camp, Adoption of School, Awareness Activities on Water Conservation, No Food Wastage, Anti Drug Abuse, Civic Sense and Energy Efficiency, Blood Donation Camp, Planting the Saplings are the focused areas. In addition to this, programmes notified by MHRD and Directorate of Collegiate Education such as Digital India voluntary registration, Sadbhavana Fortnight, Unnath Bharath Abhiyaan are undertaken by the unit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Best NSS Unit State Award<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

NSS Units were awarded Best NSS Unit State Award and Senior Program Officer Dr Lakshminarayana K S has been awarded Best NSS Program Officer State Award for the year 2021-22.<\/p>

NSS Units were awarded Best NSS Unit State Award and Senior Program Officers Mr. Ganesh V Shendye and Ms. Asha Kiran were awarded Best NSS Program Officers State Award for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 respectively. Senior NSS Volunteers, Mr. Dhanush K P and Mr. Sathyaprasad were awarded Best NSS Volunteers State Award for the year 2017-18 and 2019-20 respectively.<\/p>

NSS Units were awarded as Best NSS Unit State Award for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20.<\/p>

Rovers & Rangers<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rovers and Rangers unit of the college began in 1995. It is a unit of The Bharath Scouts and Guides. It is a voluntary, non-political, educational platform for young people, open to all without any distinction of origin, race or creed in accordance with the principles, purpose and method conceived by the founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907. Rovering and Rangering are meant for Boys and Girls aged between 16 and 25 with \u201cService\u201d and \u201cAdventure\u201d as its twin mottos. Training Programme on \u201cKnots\u201d, \u201cFirst Aid\u201d, Gandhi Jayathi celebration, Band \u2013 set service for the celebration of Independence Day, Republic Day Celebrations and Annual Sports Meet, Awareness Programmes, Drug Bank , Blood Donation Camps are the focused areas<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
