About the association<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u2018Lumos\u2019 is a student association of B.Voc in Digital Media and Film Making inaugurated on 05 February 2022 by Mr. Shashi Kumar IPS, District Commissioner, Mangaluru City Police.<\/p>

The association is an entity managed by students of the course, led by office bearers nominated on merit basis by the department faculty. The students organize various events and creative discourses under the association banner throughout the year. The events mostly pertain to the areas of digital media and film making, and occasionally encompass allied areas as well.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Objectives<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • To establish a strong student forum where students\u2019 creative ideas have an open platform for presentation and execution.<\/li>
  • To enable students to initiate and execute ideas that produce outcomes such as creative discourses, events and intellectually stimulating activities.<\/li>
  • To encourage participation of students in extra-curricular activities in general.<\/li>
  • To provide students an opportunity to understand managerial aspects such as financial management, team organization, event management and so on.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    \u2018Lumos\u2019 will be led by a team of office bearers whose term of office is one year. Lead positions will be held by students of III year and there shall be two representatives from second and first years each.<\/p>

    		Term of office<\/td>
    • Office bearers hold their position for a span of one academic year.<\/li>
    • The office bearers are nominated by the faculty in-charge and all faculty of the department<\/li>
    • Office bearers must conduct regular meetings and report all updates to staff in-charge.<\/li>
    • The office bearers must be present during all association events and meetings.<\/li>
    • Office bearers can be terminated and replaced in case of disciplinary issues.<\/li>
    • Staff-in charge has a final say in case of disputes.<\/li><\/ul>

    		Membership<\/td>
    • All students of the department of B.Voc in Digital Media and Film Making are members of the student association<\/li>
    • The membership costs INR 100\/- per student annually.<\/li>
    • Membership must be annually renewed when the office bearers change and the association is inaugurated for the next year.<\/li><\/ul>

    3<\/div><\/td>
    		Finances<\/td>
    • The student association funds itself. No funds will be allocated from the department for association activities.<\/li>
    • The treasurer maintains all financial records and the sum of amount. Complete transparency is to be ensured.<\/li>
    • Students\u2019 fines paid in case of indiscipline issues, attendance shortage, etc will be transferred to student association fund.<\/li>
    • Other fund raising activities can be conducted by the association.<\/li><\/ul>

    		General<\/td>
    • Student association activities can include any interested internal and external members as audiences.<\/li>
    • One hour is allotted in the weekly timetable for association activities. Office bearers must ensure that the prescribed time is made the right use of.<\/li>
