The Department of Economics and Rural Development organized a State-Level Intercollegiate Competition on 17 October 2025. The program was inaugurated by Ms. Dhanya Prabhu, Fellowship Holder, Department of Panchayath Raj and Rural Development, Government of Karnataka, and a proud alumna of the department. In her inaugural address she encouraged the students to make the most of experiential learning opportunities available on campus. Prof. Vishwanatha P, Principal of the college, presided over the inaugural function.
A total of 15 colleges participated in various academic competitions organized as part of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The valedictory program was graced by Sri Ravi Kakkepadav, Social Worker and Entrepreneur from Subrahmanya, who addressed the students and emphasized the importance of commitment and hard work in achieving success. Mr. Gajanana R. Bhat, IQAC Coordinator of the college, presided over the valedictory function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University) emerged as the Overall Champion, while KSS College, Subrahmanya secured the Runners-Up Trophy. In the Inter-Class Dance Competition, III B.Voc. emerged as the winner, and II BCA was declared the runner-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was coordinated by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Shetty H, with the support of Dr. Ganaraja K, Head of the Department of Economics and Rural Development, and other staff members.
