The event aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage youth to contribute towards building a healthy and addiction-free society.<br>Sri Anil Kumar Booma Reddy, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mangalore, was invited as the Resource Person to address the gathering. In his inspiring talk, he highlighted the growing concern of substance abuse among youth and emphasized the importance of making responsible life choices. He also administered the oath of drug-free living to around 2500 students, including 150 NSS volunteers from various colleges across the district.<br>The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Satheeshchandra S, Secretary, SDME Society, Dr. Sheshappa K, Coordinator, NSS Mangalore University, and Sri Vijaya Prasad, DySP, Bantwal. Police officers from the Bantwal Sub-Division and Belthangady also attended the event, showing their support for the noble cause.
