Jagadeesh"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ujire, July 7 \u2014 Organic farming has the potential to significantly address the problem of unemployment in India, opined senior speaker of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, K. Jagadeesh, during a special lecture organized at SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire.<br>The event, jointly organized by the Department of Commerce and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college, featured Jagadeesh delivering a lecture on the theme \u201cBuilding a Self-Reliant India through Self-Employment and Swadeshi Ideology.\u201d<br>\u201cDespite India&#8217;s rapid economic progress, unemployment remains a major concern,\u201d he noted. \u201cAs an agrarian nation, India must utilize livestock and traditional methods in agriculture to enhance productivity. Organic farming can play a vital role in both boosting the economy and creating self-employment opportunities,\u201d he added.<br>Citing statistics, Jagadeesh pointed out that over one crore graduates pass out every year, while only around ten lakh jobs are created annually. \u201cThe situation has worsened post-COVID, making job creation a national priority,\u201d he emphasized.<br>He further highlighted the demand for small, micro, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), stating that nearly 26% of rural India relies on them. \u201cThere is a global market worth \u20b98,000 crore in the field of yoga alone,\u201d he said, urging youth to develop their skills alongside academic qualifications and consider entrepreneurship through small-scale ventures.<br>Dr. Ratnavathi K., Head of the Department of Commerce, presided over the event.
