A special lecture program was organized at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) College here today to commemorate the literary and personal contributions of Prof. N.G. Patwardhan, a celebrated Kannada writer and former faculty member of the college. The program, jointly organized by the Kannada department of SDM College and the Dakshina Kannada District Sahitya Parishat, featured a keynote address by Prof. Patwardhan’s son, Dr. Kishor Patwardhan, a professor of Ayurveda at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.<\/p>\n\n
Dr. Kishor Patwardhan highlighted his father’s emphasis on emotional writing, stating that Prof. Patwardhan prioritized writing that evoked emotions over intellectual writing. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Satishchandra S., secretary of SDM Educational Institutions, who praised Prof. Patwardhan’s multifaceted talents as a writer, teacher, farmer, and musician.
