"Leadership is not just about political activities. It should be a means of providing justice to everything we do," said Sampat Suvarna, president of the Belthangady Suvarna Cultural Foundation. He was speaking at the inaugural event of the current academic year’s student union activities at College in Ujire .<\/p>\n
\n He said that leadership qualities should not be limited to school and college life, but should be complementary to the development of society and the country in the future. Addressing the gathering, Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, principal of the college, advised students to develop various hobbies in their student life and to make the student union active through that. On the occasion, student representatives were presented with certificates and identity cards. A special issue of "Chiguru," a magazine prepared by students of the college’s journalism department, was released.<\/p>\n
\n Nataraj H.K., coordinator of the Student Welfare Committee, and student representatives, heads of various departments, lecturers, and students were present.
