He stressed the importance of Basic science as it is the root  for all sciences without which one can not imagine the fruits of applied  sciences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">  \u201cInorder to  develop scientific temper one has to have curiosity, questioning skills and  imagination then only relevant knowledge can be gained.In coming days one has  to come out from the barriers of different streams and should go with  inter-disciplinary&nbsp; approach. Examinations should be knowledge and skill  oriented but not marks oriented. To develop the true science spirit one has to  observe, imagine, perform the experiments and should come out with a concrete  idea\u201d he added. Programme was presided over by Dr Satheeshchandra S,Principal  who was of the opinion that curiosity and imagination&nbsp; are the&nbsp;  ladders towards the development of basic sciences and research. one has to look  inside and around himself with utmost curiosity to get the knowledge ,he added.
