The students came to know about their department, subjects and the faculty members.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On July 6, three sessions were held on different topics.\u00a0<strong>Amaresh Hebbar<\/strong>, Placement officer of the college and Lecturer in EC Department, spoke about the placement process.\u00a0<strong>Shivaprasad<\/strong>, Head of the Exam Committee and Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, informed students about the exam pattern.\u00a0<strong>Mary Smitha<\/strong>, Head of the Discipline Committee and HOD of EC, talked about the maintenance of discipline in the college.<\/p>\n<p>The extracurricular activities were introduced to the new students on July 8.\u00a0<strong>Avaneesh P.<\/strong>, Programme Officer of Redcross and Lecturer in EC;\u00a0<strong>Praksh Gowda<\/strong>, Programme officer of NSS and Instructor in Mechanical Engineering; and\u00a0<strong>Nitin<\/strong>, Physical Education Director; informed the students about Redcross, NSS and Sports respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Information regarding scholarship and library usage was given on July 11.\u00a0<strong>Anushree<\/strong>, Lecturer in CS, spoke about the scholarships available for the diploma students.\u00a0<strong>Namitha<\/strong>, the librarian of the college, informed the students about the rules and regulations pertaining to the library of the college.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0On July 12, a talk on Universal Human Values was given by\u00a0<strong>Shankar Bhat H R<\/strong>, Lecturer in English.
