Day 2 of the National Conference started at 9:30am with technical sessions by Dr. Swaroop Sahoo of IIT, Palakkad (Topic: Estimation of polarimetric variables at X-band using simulated scattering coefficients for various distribution of cloud particles and hail) followed by Dr. J. G. Manjunatha from FMC, Madikeri (Topic: Bridging Phases of Matter with Carbon Sensors: A Novel Approach to Bioactive Molecule Detection), Dr. Dinesh Rangappa from Centre for Post Graduate Studies, VIAT, Muddenahalli (Topic: Advanced 2D Nanostructures: Synthesis, Characterization and Applications) and Dr. Muruga Poopathi Raja from Central University, Kerala (Topic: Biophysical and Computational Analysis of poly-Asn/Gln Peptides Aggregation: Deciphering Diseases).
After lunch, oral and poster sessions were held in parallel. Finally the conference was concluded by Valedictory session and high tea. Prof. T. N. Keshav, former Principal of SDMC, Ujire presided over the session in the presence of Dr. Swaroop Sahoo as chief guest. Sri S. N. Kakathkar (Academic Coordinator, SDMES, Ujire) delivered valedictory remarks and appreciated the conference, thanking all the participants and resource persons. He spoke about the importance and significance of such events, and congratulated the organising committee for successfully completing the conference. A few participants shared positive experiences and expressed good feedback. Dr. Sahana K. gave the welcome speech, MC by Ms. Namratha Jain and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Prarthana J. The best Oral Presentation was awarded to Mr. Nishith (LEOS, ISRO Bengaluru), while the best poster presentation was awarded to Mr. Arunkumar (Research Scholar, Tumkur University). After a group photo session and high tea, certificates were distributed and the memorable Conference was concluded.
