The annual day celebrations of SDM College, Ujire, were held with great enthusiasm, featuring insightful discussions and felicitations.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Prof. B. Ravi, Director of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, emphasized the importance of integrated strategies across science, technology, and humanities to find sustainable solutions to modern-day challenges. Presiding over the event, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, President of SDM Educational Society and Dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, highlighted the remarkable achievements of SDM College students at national and international levels. He encouraged students to revisit their knowledge, enhance their skills, and adapt to evolving global needs.

The event also witnessed the felicitation of former principal Dr. B.A. Kumar Hegde, retired vice principals Shantiprakash and Shashishekar N. Kakatkar, along with former Sanskrit professor Ramachandra Purohit and non-teaching staff members Sadananda B. Mundaje and Tukaram Saliyan. Ph.D. holders, exceptional faculty members, rank holders, outstanding students, and sports achievers were honored on the occasion. Student representatives Shravan, Prakruthi, Meghana, Maruti Bhagwan, Ameer, and Sudesh Gowda expressed their gratitude to Dr. Heggade.

A special edition of the student journalism magazine Chiguru was released during the event. SDM Educational Society Secretary D. Harshendra Kumar and Dr. Satishchandra S. were present. Principal Prof. Vishwanath P. welcomed the gathering, while Vice Principal Nandakumari K.P. presented the report. Administrative Registrar Sridhar N. Bhat delivered the vote of thanks, and Dr. Nefisath P. compered the event.
