Krishna Ivory

Krishna Ivory

This exquisite sculpture, crafted from ivory, beautifully captures key events from Lord Krishna’s life. At the top, the scene of Kalinga Mardhana is depicted, where Krishna is shown subduing the serpent Kalinga. Below that, Krishna is portrayed playing his flute, surrounded by the gopis, who are captivated by his music. The lower section of the sculpture features another flute-playing scene, with Krishna standing gracefully on a lotus, surrounded by the gopis, symbolizing his divine connection with nature and the devotion of his followers.
